CBD oil for nausea and vomiting
What is nausea?
Nausea and vomiting are considered protective defense mechanisms in the human body. These are discomforts that are also referred to as a "queasy" feeling. They can occur as a protective function after the ingestion of harmful substances or as a symptom of illness.
Possible causes:
- Poisoning
- mental disorders
- Migraine
- Head injury
- seizures
- travel sickness
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Appendicitis
- Hepatitis
- pancreatitis
- Bacterial or viral infections
- Medications – chemotherapy and others
- Pregnancy
- Pain
In the mid-1970s, scientific research began to focus on treating these symptoms in chemotherapy patients. In 2002, researchers began to turn to non-psychoactive CBD oil as a therapeutic treatment for nausea. There is evidence that inhaled products have a higher success rate because they bypass the gastrointestinal tract and may act immediately. However, when taken orally, CBD can also help with chronic problems. CBD has a low affinity for the CB1 and CB2 receptors.
There are numerous reports from people who stopped taking medication and switched to herbal CBD oil. After just a few days, it is already possible to feel a calming, soothing and beneficial effect.
Note: In this article we report on prescription CBD or cannabidiol. This article makes no suggestion as to its possible intended purpose. Promises of benefit are left to the pharmacists.
